Carter Newell's Australian Civil Liability Guide Launched on iPad

Carter Newell Lawyers last night launched the 7th edition of the Australian Civil Liability Guide at Customs House in Brisbane’s CBD to over 85 invited guests. The publication provides a comprehensive overview of the maze of legislation and case law impacting upon the tort reform in Australia since the reform process began in 2002 and is a valuable source of information for claims managers, underwriters, brokers and other insurance professionals.

Setting a new standard for the already successful guide, Carter Newell also launched this 7th edition as an e-publication compatible with the iPad, iPhone and other mobile devices.CarterNewellTmp

Carter Newell’s key insurance clients attended the event which Paul Hopkins, Senior Partner said was a successful night and a great opportunity for the whole insurance team.

Guests were greeted by some of the firm’s technologically savvy staff members who were on hand to demonstrate the guide in its electronic application with one lucky guest taking home the evening’s “lucky door prize” in the form of a new iPad

“We’re proud to be the only firm in Australia that puts out such a comprehensive guide dealing with all the legislative and common law reform across all states and territories“, said Mr Hopkins.

“For us, it’s a very real and tangible way to share our knowledge and expertise with our clients and we’re very pleased to be able to offer the publication not only as a hard copy, but also as a downloadable e-book so it can be accessed on the iPad.”

Endorsed by the The Honourable David A Ipp AO, QC Commissioner of the NSW Independent Commission against Corruption, the Australian Civil Liability Guide remains the most comprehensive reference book of its type which details aspects of the tort reform process and procedures throughout Australia.

His Honour, Justice Ipp noted in the forward that the publication enables one to quickly undertake desired research simply and efficiently and that the material is comprehensive and well organised.

He concluded with the following, “The time and trouble that has been taken in the production of the guide is obvious. Its quality as a reference work speaks for itself.”

The guide can be downloaded via the Carter Newell website at www.carternewell.com with hard copies available through the firm.
