Simon McMenemy is from Charles Russell's Employment and Pensions team and has a strong track record in advising on the employment aspects of mergers, acquisitions and outsourcing contracts. He also advises senior executives on their employment and its termination. He is the second partner to join the Boodle Hatfield Employment team in the past 18 months, following the arrival in 2008 of Louise Hobbs, formerly a partner at Mayer Brown. Simon said: "I am excited to be joining Boodle Hatfield's Employment team. The firm has a strong reputation across many different fields and I look forward to contributing further to the firm's Employment practice."
Sofie Hoffman specialises in high value and technically complex contentious trust and estate work. She acts for trustees, executors and beneficiaries on significant domestic and international disputes. Sofie also has expertise in wealth protection structures eg pre and post-nuptial agreements and trust, asset tracing and fraud claims including cases of undue influence and forgery. Sofie regularly speaks at leading private client and contentious trust and estate conferences.
Elizabeth Middleton is a business tax specialist advising on all mainstream commercial taxes including those arising in UK and cross-border corporate transactions, tax efficient structuring and re-organisations, employee share schemes and benefits packages (including those for internationally mobile employees), benefits-in-kind issues and property taxes. Elizabeth has particular expertise in tax issues affecting owner managed businesses and their shareholders and in the structuring of a range of fund vehicles (including Limited Partnerships and LLPs).
