Gravel & Shea Adds Katharine Litka to Litigation Team

Gravel & Shea is pleased to welcome Katharine Litka to its team as a Litigation Associate.

Katharine brings a wealth of legal experience, having recently transitioned from corporate transactional work to focus on her passion for litigation. Before joining Gravel & Shea, Katharine was an attorney at Seyfarth Shaw LLP in New York, working on high-profile corporate transactions in mergers and acquisitions and real estate financing.

Her practice at Gravel & Shea will include state and federal courts, focusing on complex civil litigation, general business litigation, and personal injury and product liability.

“We are excited that Katharine joined Gravel & Shea,” said Shareholder Brooks McArthur. “She brings significant experience to our litigation team which will benefit our clients tremendously. We look forward to the valuable contributions she will make to this firm.”

Her journey in the legal industry extends beyond the corporate realm.

Katharine spent three impactful years as a legal support analyst with the New York State Office of the Attorney General’s Public Integrity Bureau. In this role, she played a crucial part in investigating and assisting with litigation on cases involving public corruption of officials and misuse of public funds.

She earned her B.A. from St. Lawrence University and later her J.D. from Emory University School of Law. During her time at Emory University, she interned with the Department of Justice’s Office of International Affairs, participated in an externship with Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), contributed to Emory’s International Humanitarian Law Clinic, and showcased her legal advocacy as a member of Moot Court.
