Building on its specialist expertise in advising businesses investing in padel, one of the fastest growing sports in the UK, Manchester-based commercial law firm, Kuits, hosted their second in a series of padel tournaments at Pure Padel in Alderley Park on Wednesday 18th September.
This follows the success of their first tournament in June and their support of Foundation 92’s recent padel event where guests played with and against some of the members of the Class of 92. Kuits have advised and supported Foundation 92 since it was established in 2018. The charity was founded by the Class of 92 to improve the lives of communities in Salford through sport, education, and bespoke projects with an emphasis on positive physical and mental wellbeing.
Padel has captured the attention of many entrepreneurs and professionals in the North West blending competitive sport with networking opportunities.
The team at Kuits have been advising Pure Padel since its inception and have combined their legal expertise and their commercial understanding of the world of sport to deliver tailored solutions in this sector. Pure Padel in Alderley Park was the first club opened by the company who are due to open an indoor padel club in Manchester city centre and have plans to build another 30 padel clubs in the next five years.
Sammy Arora, Co-founder at Pure Padel, commented; “Padel has taken the UK by storm and the North West is becoming a padel hub. We have exciting plans at Pure Padel to open more courts and are proud to open indoor padel courts in Manchester. We hope these courts will provide a solution to those whose game is impacted by Manchester’s cold and wet climate. These courts are easily accessible as they are close to Victoria train station so we believe they will have a positive impact on the local economy as players will go on to spend on hospitality and shopping.”
Rob Buckley, Partner and Head of Corporate and Commercial at Kuits, commented; “It is a privilege to advise Pure Padel as they continue to expand the number of padel courts around the UK. The team at Pure Padel are dedicated to elevating the sport of padel and creating exceptional experiences for players. Hosting a padel event is a great opportunity to invite some of our clients and contacts to Pure Padel to meet each other while enjoying the opportunity to experience this fast-growing sport. We were delighted to support the collaboration between our clients Foundation 92 and Pure Padel to host an event in aid of young people who are left homeless.”
As the demand for Padel courts continues to grow, the team at Kuits are guiding clients through all legal aspects of site acquisition, court development, funding, contractual agreements and regulatory compliance.
