who acted as coach (along with Debbie Langehennig) for The University of Texas School of Law 2010 Bankruptcy Moot Court Teams, won the National Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition held at St. John's School of Law on March 13-15, 2010 in New York City. The University of Texas teams garnered not only the Championship, but also First Place Runner-Up, and the Best Brief Award.This is the best result ever obtained by The University of Texas Duberstein teams and may be the first time that a single school has ever won First Place, Second Place and the Best Brief Award. Discussions are under way for a tower lighting ceremony in celebration of the results.

Jay works within the Insolvency, Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights group. He concentrates his practice on bankruptcy, reorganization and creditors’ rights as well as corporate finance and commercial litigation. He has extensive experience representing various parties in bankruptcy and large business reorganizations, including senior lenders, trustees, debtors, committees, trade creditors, bond holders, insurers and receivers as well as commercial defendants. Jay received his Juris Doctor from Cornell Law School and his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, with honors, from The University of Texas at Austin.
