Casner & Edwards Partner Lorraine P. Stark Receives 2024 “Top Women of Law” Honor from Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly

Boston law firm Casner & Edwards LLP announces that Partner Lorraine P. Stark has been recognized with a Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly 2024 “Top Women of Law” award. This highly coveted honor celebrates the exceptional accomplishments of women attorneys as leaders, educators and mentors in their practice, and for their pro bono, social justice, advocacy and business efforts. Stark joins an esteemed line of Casner colleagues who have received this honor in previous years: Renee Inomata, Anita S. Lichtblau, Sharon C. Lincoln, Lynne F. Riley, Joanne E. Romanow, Dawn Stolfi Stalenhoef and Katie L.S. Von Kohorn.

With over a decade of experience, Stark has established herself in the area of family law. Her practice encompasses a wide range of matters, including divorce, paternity, child custody, child support, alimony, property division, removal and adoption. Stark is also well-versed in modification and contempt matters, in which she adeptly navigates complex legal landscapes to achieve favorable outcomes for her clients. She assists clients in pre-marital planning, including pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, providing them with the necessary legal framework to protect their future interests. Not only does Stark do exemplary work in her practice, but she also approaches client service with an unwavering commitment to compassion and understanding. Her accolades include being named to Massachusetts Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” since 2017, Best Lawyers in America “Ones to Watch” since 2021 and Boston Magazine’s “Top Lawyers” since 2022.

Outside the office, Stark is active in the business and legal community, and enjoys giving back through her involvement with several nonprofit organizations. Stark serves on the board of Cocotree Kids, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that collects and distributes new underwear to underserved and crisis-facing children in Massachusetts. She serves as a fiduciary who helps steer Cocotree Kids towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical and legal governance and financial management policies—as well as making sure the organization has adequate resources to advance its mission.
