Piper Alderman welcomes Catherine Wheeler as a new partner in the national Real Estate team. With over 28 years’ experience in commercial practice in the Perth market and a focus on real estate, development, projects and finance, she will begin her role in Piper Alderman’s Perth office on 17th of June.
Catherine specialises in acquisitions, disposals and leasing across a broad range of sectors including industrial, commercial, agricultural, renewable energy, residential, aged care and retail.
She provides legal, strategic and compliance advice to major corporate, government and private clients and has significant experience in advising landowner and developer clients in respect of renewable energy projects including wind and solar farms, battery, water and electricity.
Her practice also extends to banking and finance, including development finance, insolvency, forced sales and workouts.
A supporter of the Committee for Perth, and its various groups and forums including the Reshaping Working Group and Executive Women’s Leadership Forums, Catherine is a member of the Property Council of Western Australia Industrial and Logistics Committee and has served as a mentor in the National Women in Property program.
