Casner & Edwards Managing Partner Michael F. Zullas has been named a Top Managing Partner in the inaugural list by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. The selected Managing Partners are those who have been instrumental in helping their firm grow revenue, maintain and cultivate their talent base, encourage active engagement in their communities and push their respective firm to achieve important milestones and goals. Zullas and his fellow honorees are featured in the publication’s March 25 issue.
Zullas was elected co-managing partner in 2021, and in this role, he develops strategies for achieving the firm’s key performance indicators, implements strategies to increase profitability and firm performance, and sets and improves the firm’s policies and procedures. Over the last three years, the firm has expanded the breadth and scope of its practice areas, attracted talented and skilled lawyers, launched a new website, and implemented programs to achieve a truly diverse and equitable environment for all.
Commenting on the recognition, Zullas said, “As Casner celebrates 50 years of legal excellence, I share this honor with Marc Fitzgerald, who served as co-managing partner from 2021-2023, with Katie Von Kohorn and Mike Fencer, who serve on our Management Committee, and with the entire firm, as well as our loyal clients and referral sources. We have all worked hard to adapt to the post-pandemic world and to recruit, advance and promote top legal talent to provide the best in legal services.”
Zullas also maintains an active legal practice as a partner in the firm’s Business & Corporate Group. He counsels businesses at all stages of development: from inventors seeking venture financing and international licensing deals for their products; to the formation and sale of investment advisory and financial services firms; to the turnaround and sale of multi-million-dollar enterprises. With over 30 years of experience as a litigator, public corruption prosecutor and in-house general counsel to high-tech companies, Zullas brings a broad range of experience to counseling businesses of all kinds.
