Piper Alderman assisted financial planning and funds management acquisition and roll up business known as The Australian Wealth Advisers Group (AWAG) undertake its Initial Public Offering.
Commencing in July 2023, Piper Alderman worked closely with AWAG in preparing the company’s prospectus, conducting due diligence of AWAG and its subsidiaries, undertaking verification of the prospectus and preparing and liaising with ASX in respect of AWAG’s application for admission to the official list of ASX.
The deal team included James Dickson, Partner along with Bonnie Doyle, Lawyer and Ashleigh De Silva, Law Graduate.
AWAG was admitted to the official list of the ASX on the 14th of February 2024 with its shares being quoted on the 16th of February 2024. After dedicating over 7 months to this transaction, James Dickson and the team navigated many challenges and complexities.
AWAG was founded in Melbourne in 2021 by a group of experienced financial market professionals as a holding company with the primary goal of acquiring and growing profitable, complementary Australian financial services businesses.
