Boston law firm Casner & Edwards LLP announces that Partner Dawn Stolfi Stalenhoef has been named to the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly 2023 “Top Women of Law” list. This highly coveted honor celebrates the exceptional accomplishments of women attorneys as leaders, educators and mentors, and for their pro bono, social justice, advocacy and business efforts. Stolfi Stalenhoef joins an esteemed line of Casner colleagues who have received this honor in previous years: Renee Inomata, Anita S. Lichtblau, Sharon C. Lincoln, Joanne E. Romanow, Lynne F. Riley and Katie L. S. Von Kohorn.
With over 20 years of experience as an attorney, Stolfi Stalenhoef brings expertise in environmental and land use law, commercial real estate, project development and regulatory compliance counseling. She has broad public and private sector experience. Prior to joining Casner & Edwards, Stolfi Stalenhoef worked as Senior Counsel at a boutique Boston firm where she provided transactional, environmental, land use and regulatory compliance counseling to clients in the renewable energy industry; she served as Chief Regional Counsel for the southeast regional office of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection; she worked as an associate with an Am Law 100 firm; and she served as Assistant Attorney General with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Environmental Protection Division. Stolfi Stalenhoef began her career working as an environmental scientist in consulting engineering after completing a master’s degree focused in Environmental Studies.
Outside the office, Stolfi Stalenhoef is active in the business and legal community. Most recently, she was appointed Co-Chair of the Boston Bar Association’s (BBA) Wetlands, Waterways and Water Quality Committee of the Environmental and Energy Law Section. As co-chair, her role is to spearhead the planning and coordination of Wetlands, Waterways and Water Quality focused programming for brown bag meetings and continuing legal education (CLE) seminars.
