Former Nelson Mullins partner will build on firm’s Central Florida presence to establish Tampa and Orlando offices
Berger Singerman, Florida’s business law firm, is pleased to announce that Nicolette Corso Vilmos has joined the firm as a partner on the Business Reorganization and Dispute Resolution Teams to increase Berger Singerman’s footprint in Tampa and Orlando. Vilmos will be resident in Orlando and continue to serve her bankruptcy and complex business litigation clients.
"With increasing demand for legal counsel from existing and prospective clients in Central Florida, Berger Singerman is expanding to meet that need by providing the exceptional client service we are known for,” said Paul Steven Singerman, Co-Chair of Berger Singerman. “I cannot think of a better candidate to lead Berger Singerman in Tampa and Orlando than Nicolette Vilmos. Nicolette is an extraordinary lawyer. She has worked hard to earn the respect of lawyers and judges in the Orlando and Tampa markets -- and beyond, and we think she is a great cultural fit with our team. We look forward to growing our presence in those markets.”
Vilmos has established herself as a trusted legal advisor to Central Florida’s businesses on a range of complex litigation matters, including bankruptcy, intellectual property, real estate workouts and complex commercial litigation. Prior to joining Berger Singerman, Vilmos was a partner at Nelson Mullins’ Orlando office, where she Co-Chaired the firm’s Financial Institutions, Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Team and was a member of its Intellectual Property, Commercial Litigation and Appellate Practice Groups. She earned her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law and her B.A. from Stetson University as well.
