Casner & Edwards announces attorney Renee Inomata has been named chair of public media producer GBH’s Board of Advisors. In addition to this role, Inomata has become an ex officio trustee. The election took place at the Board of Trustees meeting, March 1 and Inomata’s term will begin on May 11.
As a longtime supporter of GBH, Inomata serves on its AAPI Heritage Month Planning Committee, is a member of its Beacon Circle, and previously chaired its Nominating Committee. As Board of Advisors chair, she will serve as an ambassador and contribute ideas, time and resources to support services provided by GBH to the community, and the world, through its many different platforms.
At Casner & Edwards, Inomata focuses her practice on Employment Law where she helps companies and executives navigate complex employment policies so they can successfully achieve their employment goals and mitigate risks associated with employment issues. She serves on the firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and Women’s Initiative committees. Inomata was named a Super Lawyer® by ThomsonReuters multiple years and included on its list of Top 50 Massachusetts Women Lawyers in 2022. She has been recognized by Best Lawyers®, by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as a “Go To Employment Lawyer” and “Top Women of Law,” and by Profiles in Diversity Journal as a "Women to Watch." In 2023, she was named to Get Konnected!’s list of Boston’s 50 Most Influential Asian-American Pacific Islanders (AAPI).
Inomata is a member of the Steering Committee of the Asian Community Fund at The Boston Foundation. She is a Trustee and Society of Fellows member of the Boston Bar Foundation, where she sits on the Executive Committee and Grants Committee. Inomata is also a member of the Boston Bar Association, chairs its Nominating Committee and serves on the Advisory Committee for the Women of Color Attorneys Leadership Forum.
