Blake Morgan has advised on a deal that has seen two highly regarded creative content studios combine to launch a new organisation – Forever.
The leading law firm acted for the shareholders and partners of Canadian company Tendril Design + Animation Inc – advised by Darren Murphy, founder of Rafalie Corporate Finance – in the transatlantic deal, which saw them come together with London-based FutureDeluxe, backed by Queen’s Park Equity, to co-invest in Forever.
The new venture is a global offering that promises to bridge the roster of talent from both studios across offices in the USA, UK, Canada, Brazil and Australia.
Partner Dov Katz and Legal Director Michelle Davenport led the deal with assistance from corporate team members Milly Dent and Alexander King.
Dov commented:
"We are delighted and privileged to have acted on behalf of the partners of Tendril on this momentous transaction. This promises to be an exciting time for the new venture. Forever is the result of both companies' belief in a need to design a new future-focused platform for growth that would allow the most creative minds to work together to achieve results that would not have been otherwise possible."
Michelle added: “I would like to thank everyone who worked on the deal, tight timelines were met. We worked closely with our clients’ Canadian counsel to ensure that a successful deal was struck.”
The two companies – Tendril and FutureDeluxe – will continue to work independently and contribute their unique creative voices to the marketplace under their respective banners, but will aggregate curated teams to scale fluently as new opportunities arise.
