DaHui Lawyers is delighted to announce that the great majority of the firm’s practice areas and partners have recently been ranked among the top in the PRC by The Legal 500, IFLR1000 and Asian Legal Business.
Every year, DaHui and many of its lawyers are ranked by the premier legal research and ranking organizations. Recently, The Legal 500 and International Finance Law Review 1000 (IFLR1000) included DaHui and numerous of its lawyers in their latest rankings of the top PRC law firms, while the firm was also featured in the singular ranking of Asian Legal Business (ALB) for top M&A firms.
In The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific ranking, DaHui and its lawyers appear in 17 categories (almost all that are available), including Antitrust, Capital Markets, Corporate/M&A, Data Protection, Dispute Resolution (Arbitration and Litigation), Employment, Fintech, IP, Investment Funds, Private Equity, Regulatory/Compliance and TMT. The broad recognition attests to DaHui’s excellence across the board in representing and assisting companies, investors and others in all their business dealings related to China, from market entry through all the complexities of growth and ultimately to the successful fruition of their businesses.
The majority of DaHui’s partners were also recognized in The Legal 500’s rankings. Managing Partner Richard Ma is one of several DaHui “Leading Individuals”, who The Legal 500 notes are “true market leaders, with long-established reputations in their sector, lead roles in multiple recent significant matters, and exceptional, widespread recognition and endorsement from peers in the market and clients alike”. The firm’s litigation group includes another “Leading Individual”, prominent cross-border dispute resolution star Arthur Ma (also recognized in Arbitration), as well as a “Next Generation Partner” in IP litigator Joy Wang (also recognized in IP). Cloud Li is recognized as a “Next Generation Partner” in a stunning three categories: TMT, Corp/M&A and FinTech. DaHui’s TMT group also includes an associate “Rising Star”, who appears “frequently in significant matters and [is] widely cited by peers and/or clients as having made major contributions to [the] practice.”
IFLR1000 also included DaHui in most of its rankings, including key categories Capital Markets (Debt and Equity), Investment Funds, M&A, Private Equity and Restructuring and Insolvency. Almost half of the firm’s partners were also recognized as “Highly Regarded” or “Rising Stars”.
ALB, for the ninth consecutive year, ranked DaHui among top M&A firms in China. As ALB notes, the law firms in its ranking have participated in major and complex domestic and cross-border M&A deals over the preceding twelve months – and DaHui has no small share of both kinds of deals. While DaHui advises on numerous domestic mergers and acquisitions, it focuses on and excels in cross-border deals, particularly involving multinational and other large international companies entering, expanding in or exiting the China market. The firm brings to bear expertise and experience not only in straightforward M&A law and practice, but also in foreign-investment and forex restrictions, anti-trust, corporate governance, capital market requirements and planning, intellectual property, cybersecurity and other regulatory compliance, and tax.
The wide recognition of DaHui and its attorneys, by multiple respected ranking organizations and thus the market at large, reinforces the firm’s drive to always excel in serving its clients and representing the legal industry in the best light.
