Herrick, Feinstein LLP is pleased to announce the expansion of its Firm with the addition of several prominent attorneys to its Private Clients Practice. The team, including Practice Chair Carolyn R. Caufield and Partner Christina M. Mason, brings decades of experience in trusts and estates and estate planning and counseling for individuals, multi-generational family estates and trusts, corporate fiduciaries and non-profit organizations among other entities.
These new additions will strengthen Herrick’s Private Clients Practice, providing an even wider range of services and enhancing its long-established trusts and estates group. The team will also bring valuable estate planning and private wealth experience that will augment the scope of services that Herrick is able to provide to clients across the firm.

Carolyn R. Caufield counsels clients on planning for major life events, disability, succession of a family-owned business, and the valuation of assets for estate and gift tax matters. Drawing on a multigenerational and tax-efficient approach to wealth preservation, she has extensive experience in developing and implementing sophisticated lifetime gift giving and estate planning tax strategies for clients.
Christina M. Mason provides a full range of estate and tax planning services for her clients, counseling them on a range of issues, including the valuation of businesses and other assets; the disposition of retirement benefits and insurance policies; and charitable and other lifetime gifts. Serving entrepreneurial and international clients, she also advises on family limited partnerships, GRATs, and will and trust provisions to maximize tax credits and exemptions.
The addition of this team comes amid a period of strategic growth for Herrick as a firm. Over the past two years, Herrick has onboarded attorneys across a range of practice areas, including Real Estate; Eminent Domain; Affordable Housing; Litigation; Restructuring & Finance Litigation; and Corporate.
