Lewis Roca announced Andrew Dixon has joined the firm as Of Counsel and Mayra Garay has joined as an Associate in the firm’s Las Vegas office. Dixon is a member of the firm’s Business Transactions Practice Group, and Garay is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group expanding the firm’s office with more than 25 lawyers providing legal counsel to clients throughout Las Vegas, Reno and nationally.
Dixon focuses his practice in the areas of real estate, corporate, business and commercial law, landlord and tenant, and bankruptcy, including significant transactional and litigation experience in each of these areas. He advises clients in negotiating and drafting real estate purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, asset and stock purchase and sale agreements, financing and security agreements, entity formation and governance, and other related matters. Dixon also has significant experience advising clients on estate planning and asset protection strategies.
Dixon has served as lead counsel on many multi-million-dollar transactions and has successfully litigated real estate, business, commercial and bankruptcy disputes. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law and his B.A. from Brigham Young University.
Garay joins the firm after recently serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Justice James W. Hardesty and the Honorable Abbi Silver at the Supreme Court of Nevada. In this role, she prepared legal research and analysis on a variety of issues in criminal and civil appeals. Garay also assisted in the drafting of bench memoranda, orders, and opinions for en banc and panel consideration. She received her J.D. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law and her B.A. from Emory University.
