Casner & Edwards announces that attorney Anita S. Lichtblau will co-chair the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education’s (MCLE) 23rd Annual Nonprofit Law Conference 2022 on March 24th. The conference will summarize the latest updates on topics critical to representation of nonprofit organizations, including statutory, regulatory and case law developments. In addition to co-chairing the program, Lichtblau will present during the session, “Funding a Nonprofit.”
As a partner in the firm’s Nonprofit Organizations group, Lichtblau advises nonprofit organizations on a wide variety of legal issues, including formation of organizations and application for tax-exempt status, maintenance of tax-exempt status, governance, lobbying and political activity. She specializes in the creation of corporate policies, employment matters and government and private grants and contracts. Lichtblau is co-chair of the Boston Bar Association (BBA) Chapter 180 Working Group, member of the BBA Tax-Exempt Organization Section, and member of the Board of Directors of the Rebecca Pomroy Foundation.
