Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Grant Allison has joined the firm as an associate in the Corporate Section. He will be based in the firm’s Raleigh office.
Mr. Allison focuses his practice on representing privately held companies, founders and investors in a wide variety of corporate and transactional matters, including commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt transactions, board governance and other general corporate matters. Mr. Allison often serves in an outside general counsel role as a trusted business and legal adviser across a wide array of industries.
Mr. Allison has experience assisting with transactions and providing guidance to clients in the technology, manufacturing, agribusiness, life sciences and insurance industries, to name a few. His recent work includes structuring and closing strategic investments, helping organize and build out platform companies, advising on business sales and reorganizations, negotiating and preparing private label agreements and preparing terms of use and shareholder agreements.
Mr. Allison serves on the board of directors and as assistant treasurer for NeighborHealth Center, Inc., a faith-based, not-for-profit, federally qualified community health center formed to address the growing number of people in Wake County without access to health care.
Mr. Allison received his J.D. (cum laude) from Campbell University School of Law as well as a Master of Trust and Wealth Management (summa cum laude) from Campbell University School of Business. He earned his B.S. in business finance with minors in accounting and Spanish (magna cum laude) from North Carolina State University.
