Meghan Grabel, head of the firm’s Energy, Water and Utility Regulation practice, was named this week as one of the Most Influential Women in Arizona Business for 2021 by “AZ Business” magazine. The selection will be celebrated at the 10th Annual dinner and reception in August and featured in the publication’s July/August issue.
Grabel’s background has given her a unique blend of substantive energy and utility industry business knowledge and legal acumen. She previously served as both associate general counsel of regulatory and head of the revenue requirement and rate design departments for Arizona’s largest investor-owned electric utility, APS. Five years ago, she returned to Osborn Maledon, where she had earlier worked as a young attorney, and founded the firm’s highly successful utility practice.
Grabel teaches a utility law and regulation course at Arizona State University and is active in many professional and community organizations.
She has written and spoken widely on issues related to her practice.
An accomplished singer and actress, she quite possibly is the only lawyer in Arizona who has been selected to sing the National Anthem at a Phoenix Suns game.
