Manchester commercial law firm has advised healthtech company EQL on their recent partnership with Liverpool based cash plan provider, Medicash.
The deal, which is EQL’s first in the health insurance market, will allow subscribers of Medicash to access EQL’s digital musculoskeletal (MSK) triage support tool, Phio Access and also for eligible subscribers to have access to EQL’s digital physiotherapy self-management app, Phio Engage.
Phio Engage is a self-care MSK management app which provides to users a customisable, tailored exercise programme, progress tracking and in-app clinical intervention.
Kuits Commercial Partner James Wall and Associate Rebecca Bainbridge, both of whom have extensive experience of working with clients in the technology sector, advised in respect of the transaction.
Rebecca said: “This is a key strategic relationship for EQL and one which enable users access to EQL’s innovative Phio platform to access the right MSK care, faster. We are really pleased to have advised them on this deal.”
Jason Ward, Co-founder and CEO of EQL said: “This is a really exciting time for EQL as Medicash is our first partner in the health insurance market. The team at Kuits has been brilliant in helping us secure this deal and we are delighted that our Phio platform is now available for use to an even wider audience.”
