Randall D. Crocker, President and CEO of Wisconsin-based TAGLaw member von Briesen & Roper, s.c., today announced the addition of three attorneys: Shareholder Steven L. Nelson and Associates Shay A. Agsten and Dawn T. Lindsey.
Attorney Steven L. Nelson is a Shareholder in the Litigation and Risk Management Practice Group. Nelson concentrates his practice in commercial litigation including OSHA counseling and citation defense, construction, civil and business, contracts and lease disputes, toxic tort, products liability, professional liability defense and Wisconsin fair dealership law. Nelson also represents companies involved in filmmaking and television production, and has represented book authors.
Nelson is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates-Wisconsin Chapter, Wisconsin Academy of Trial Lawyers, the American and Milwaukee Bar Associations, and the State Bar of Wisconsin. He is past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin and served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Sports and Entertainment Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin, e-Innovate and the Milwaukee Forum. He has been awarded an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating possible.
Nelson earned a J.D. in 1990 from Marquette University and a B.S. in 1979 from the University of Oregon. He resides in Elm Grove, Wisconsin with his wife and is a member of the Elm Grove Police & Fire Commission.
Attorney Shay A. Agsten is a member of the Banking, Bankruptcy, Business Restructuring and Real Estate Practice Group. Prior to joining von Briesen, Agsten clerked for two years for the Honorable United States Magistrate Judge Franklin L. Noel in the District of Minnesota and clerked for two years for the Honorable
United States Bankruptcy Judge Pamela Pepper in the Eastern District of Wisconsin. Her practice focuses on bankruptcy, commercial and business litigation, commercial transactions, business restructuring, and financing transactions.
Agsten is a member of the Milwaukee Bar Association, the State Bar of Wisconsin, and the Association for Women Lawyers. She is also a member of the Thomas E. Fairchild Chapter of the American Inns of Court, a national organization comprised of members of the bench and bar devoted to increasing skills and civility in litigation. She currently serves as a Board Member for the Bay View Community Center.
Agsten earned a J.D., magna cum laude, in 2005 from the University of Minnesota and a B.S., summa cum laude, in 2002 from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She resides in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with her husband.
Attorney Dawn T. Lindsey is a member of the Banking, Bankruptcy and Business Restructuring Practice Group. Her practice focuses on commercial transactions, business restructuring, loan documentation and bankruptcy and commercial litigation. During law school, Lindsey served as a judicial intern for Judge Wedemeyer of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals.
Lindsey is a member of the Milwaukee Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin. She earned a J.D. in 2009 from Marquette University and a B.A. in 2006 from Smith College. She resides in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
