Joe Murphy joins national law firm, Piper Alderman, as an employment relations partner in Sydney this month.
Joe is an experienced employment relations lawyer with over twenty years’ experience in both the private and public sectors, providing clients with strategic advice on discrimination, unfair dismissal, bullying, general protections (including adverse action), harassment, industrial relations and contractual issues.
He represents clients in a range of tribunals and courts, including the Fair Work Commission, State and Federal Courts.
Commenting on his decision to join Piper Alderman, Joe said:
“Decisions involving making a move like this are all about timing. The time was right for me and the firm. For me, there’s a kindred feeling about joining Piper Alderman.”
Joe joins the national employment relations team in Sydney with partners Tim Capelin and Ben Motro. The national team led by Tim Lange now boasts seven partners across the firm.

Joe is a member of The Law Society of New South Wales, Industrial Relations Society of NSW and admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia.
