Joel Shaw has joined national law firm, Piper Alderman as a restructuring and insolvency partner in Brisbane.
Joel is an experienced commercial litigation, insolvency and reconstruction lawyer. He has worked with some of Brisbane’s leading insolvency practitioners, accountants, company directors, government bodies, creditors and other key stakeholders who have been involved in or impacted by a company’s voluntary administration, receivership or liquidation. He is a member of the Australian Restructuring and Insolvency Turnaround Association.
Commenting on his decision to join Piper Alderman, Joel said:

The firm’s national restructuring and insolvency team led by Michael Lhuede has experienced significant partner growth in the last three years, with the recruitment of Joanne Hardwick in 2018, Cheryl Weston in 2019 and the promotions of Angelina Kozary in 2019 and Jonathan Hidayat in 2020. Joel Shaw’s appointment now takes the team to eight partners across its four offices.
