The firm also welcomes recent hires: Amy B. de Lannoy as Of Counsel in Health & Human Services, Troy S. DeLeon as Associate in Business Services, Jeffrey N. JP is a member of the firm’s Estate Planning & Settlement practice where he prepares estate planning documents tailored to the needs of clients. Clients rely on him to navigate through the estate and tax planning rules to advise and guide on trust administration matters and assist in the transfer of wealth from one generation to the next. JP’s background working with closely held businesses and tax-exempt organizations helps him assist clients with the business succession and philanthropic aspects of their estate plans. JP received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Western New England University School of Law and his B.S., summa cum laude, from Western New England University.
Amy is a member of the firm’s Health & Humans Services practice where she brings a combination of practical experience and legal skills to her representation of physician practices and other health care providers on matters related to regulatory compliance (including HIPAA, Part 2 Regulations, fraud and abuse law, billing and coding practices, and Medicare and Medicaid regulations and audits), practice management and governance, professional licensure, employment of professionals and staff, and business transactions. Amy is admitted to practice in the State of Connecticut and the State of New York. Amy received her J.D. from New York University School of Law, her Health Care Compliance Certificate from Quinnipiac University, and her B.A. from Illinois Wesleyan University.
Troy works with clients in the Business Services practice, providing advice on a wide range of business law topics, including helping them in operational matters and to position for expansion, strategic partnerships, and changes in ownership. Troy’s general corporate and commercial real estate practice covers entity formation, corporate governance, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiation, commercial leasing, and buy/sell arrangements. He also works with private equity funds and their attendant portfolio companies on a variety of investment, transfer and wind-up matters. Troy received his J.D., summa cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law and his B.A., cum laude, from Roger Williams University.
Jeff works in our Litigation practice representing individuals and organizations in a broad range of civil, criminal and regulatory matters. He represents clients during all stages of litigation, including appeals. Prior to joining the firm, Jeff clerked for the Honorable Nina F. Elgo of the Connecticut Appellate Court. During law school, Jeff was a judicial extern for the Honorable Victor A. Bolden of the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. Jeff received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law and his B.A. from Wheaton College.
Stefan counsels clients in the Business Services practice on a variety of corporate matters. In his transactional capacity, Stefan provides legal services beginning with pre-deal negotiations through post-closing deliverables. Stefan’s general business law practice includes entity formation, zoning analysis, entity governance, organizational restructuring, buy/sell arrangements, contract drafting, review and negotiation, and commercial real estate. He has worked with clients from a variety of industries on transactions ranging from business purchase and sale agreements to real estate closings. In addition to his position at the firm, Stefan serves as adjunct faculty professor at Western New England University School of Law. Stefan is admitted to practice in the State of Connecticut and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Stefan received his J.D. from Western New England University School of Law, his M.B.A. from Western New England University School of Business, and his B.S. from Quinnipiac University.
