The law firm of von Briesen & Roper, s.c. announced today the formation of their Sports Law Section. The firm’s Sports Law Section is led by Shareholder Megan L.W. Jerabek. Attorney Jerabek is a member of The Sports Lawyers Association and also serves as co-chair of the firm’s Trusts and Estates Section and a member of its tax, real estate and business sections.
von Briesen’s Sports Law Section is focused on providing legal services to athletes and coaches and is comprised of thirteen attorneys with expertise in a wide range of legal specialties often required by sports professionals. The Section includes transactional and litigation attorneys, an attorney who was a certified player agent with a national sports agency, and attorneys with certificates in Sports Law from the National Sports Law Institute of Marquette University Law School.
Attorney Jerabek said, “In my experience working with current and former professional athletes, I have seen the wide variety of legal needs these professionals have. Our goal in establishing this Section is to put together a comprehensive team of attorneys who can assist athletes with these needs in a way that fits within their demanding schedules. To that end, we are committed to serving as trusted advisors by providing clear and concise advice and welcome the opportunity to work with our client’s other wealth, business and tax advisors to ensure they are supported by a cohesive team of professionals.”
