Manchester commercial law firm Kuits has advised Recognise Bank on its first loan to Bristol-based, Eve Commercial Properties.
Recognise, a subsidiary of AIM-listed City of London Group, is a new SME-focused UK bank and opened its first Manchester office in October 2020.
Eve Commercial Properties founded The Orange Tree, a new and innovative working hub, providing desk space and ‘on the go’ meeting rooms for entrepreneurs and small businesses.
Samuel Jackson, Banking Associate at Kuits, led the team providing legal expertise to Recognise.
Jason Oakley, CEO of Recognise Bank, said: “We are delighted to have issued our first loan, a major milestone in the journey to becoming a leading SME challenger bank. We have been very encouraged by the large numbers of enquiries we have seen since our launch and our relationship management team is working hard to deliver to our new customers the quality products and personalised service we promised.”
Samuel Jackson said: “Kuits is delighted to have joined the Recognise panel and I’m personally thrilled to have been able to have assisted with the completion of the Bank’s first loan across a short timeframe.
“We look forward to utilising our expertise in helping the Bank and its customer base of small and medium size businesses across the UK with its future funding needs.”
