Ijdelea Mihailescu, has provided pioneering legal work for the development of the first offshore natural gas project of Romania in the last thirty years. The firm's client, Black Sea Oil & Gas company, a venture of the Carlyle Energy group and EBRD, has developed the trailblazing MGD natural gas development project aimed at ensuring energy independence and security of supply for the country.

At the recent commencement of the offshore pipelaying operation of the project, Oana Ijdelea joined Black Sea Oil & Gas in welcoming high Government officials and the US Ambassador Adrian Zuckerman to celebrate this important milestone, a testimony of the strategic partnership between Romania and the United States of America.
