Munsch Hardt, a law firm with over 100 attorneys and offices in Dallas, Houston and Austin, Texas, announced that Dennis L. Roossien, Jr. and Robert (Bob) H. Voelker will be discussing fair housing issues while serving as panelist members at the Texas Association of Affordable Housing Providers annual conference. The "Texas Housing Conference 2009" will be held in Austin on July 27-29, 2009 at the Four Seasons Hotel.
Dennis' current practice centers on receivership actions, securities litigation and commercial litigation. He serves as a court appointed receiver and represents receivers and other court appointed fiduciaries. His work in receivership cases involves maximizing the value of distressed assets, investigating and pursuing claims against insiders, handling claims administration and coordinating with the parties to the primary action. A number of his receivership cases arise out of large securities frauds. He also pursues investor claims in areas such as auction rate securities. His commercial practice covers a broad range of specialized areas such as fair housing, construction and insurance coverage litigation. He received his Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law and Bachelor of Science from Calvin College.
Robert (Bob) H. Voelker
Bob is the Business Development Coordinator of the firm's Real Estate group, which consists of over 30 attorneys in Dallas, Houston and Austin, Texas. His practice emphasis is on complex development projects including mixed-use, hotel, condominiums and office or office/warehouse. His educational and professional background as a CPA, tax attorney, real estate attorney and multifamily real estate developer coupled with his prior legal and business involvement with multifaceted public/private projects with layered debt and equity financing, allow for a unique ability to organize, manage and facilitate the most complex mixed-use new construction and adaptive reuse developments including hotel/condominium/retail/entertainment projects and transportation oriented developments, in conjunction with local revitalization incentives involving public and private funding. Bob has also been actively involved in fair housing litigation over the last 15 years, assisting developers when cities deny them the right to build affordable housing. He received his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University School of Law and Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.
