Koley Jessen has hired Justin Haugen as the Firm’s first Chief Operating Officer. Justin will provide the leadership and management necessary to ensure that the Firm has the proper people, systems, operational controls, and administrative and reporting procedures in place to effectively grow the Firm and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.
“We are excited about the addition of a Chief Operating Officer to our organizational structure,” said Alex Wolf, President of Koley Jessen. “As our firm has continued to grow, we determined that an investment in this dedicated position was necessary to continue pursuing our vision for the future. We are thrilled about what Justin brings to the table and cannot wait to see what he can help us accomplish.”
Justin will assume the duties that Shaun McGaughey had previously filled as Administrative Shareholder of the firm, which will allow Shaun to return full-time to practicing corporate and transactional law.
“Shaun’s leadership in this area has been instrumental to our growth during his 13 years as Administrative Shareholder and his 32 years in various leadership roles in the firm,” said Alex. With Shaun’s decision to step back from his administrative duties to focus on the full-time service of clients, the time was right to make the investment in the firm’s future with the hiring of Justin.”
Justin joins Koley Jessen from Union Pacific, where he held a variety of operational roles, most recently leading the team responsible for the railroad’s transportation plan. Justin received his MBA from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management and his B.S. from Minnesota State University, where he was Captain of the Men’s Basketball team.
