Through a combination of panel discussions, participants will learn how to effectively communicate key messages, counter misinformation, engage in productive dialogue and utilize different tools including social media for advocacy purposes. These modules are open to any attorneys interested in supporting social causes and developing their advocacy skills. Some courses will be available for CLE credits.

MODULE 2 - Social Media and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Strategies for Advocacy: Leveraging Platforms for Effective Communication and Outreach

Tuesday, June 25th from 9:30 - 11:00am EST (1.5 CLE Credits)

In this module, participants will learn how to develop effective social media strategies for advocacy and how to create engaging and impactful content that resonates with your target audience. This can include utilizing various platforms such as Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram and LinkedIn to share stories, news and updates. It is important to also leverage multimedia content such as images, videos and infographics to capture the audience's attention and drive engagement. The addition of AI into the social media landscape requires attorneys to consider the potential role of artificial intelligence in advocacy. Additionally, speakers will discuss university campus case studies around social media harassment, "doxxing" and the ramifications for all involved.
