Dr. Ferry Yang, SH, LL.M had completed his Bachelor of Laws (SH) from the University of Tarumanagara in 1994, and later earned his Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of Western Australia in 1996. Ferry also earned his Doctor of Laws (Dr) from the University of Tarumanagara in 2018. Ferry has extensive experiences in various legal areas with international recognition. Ferry embarked his early legal career in one of the most prominent international-affiliated law firms in Indonesia. In 1995, he expanded his wing overseas by joining one of the biggest law firms in Perth, Western Australia. Upon Ferry's return to Indonesia, he was appointed as Legal Director in one of the largest conglomerate business groups in Asia. Due to his outstanding performance and diligence, Ferry escalated his career to the highest level and subsequently served as the Legal Director of the said conglomerate group for over a decade.

Throughout the mature journey of his career, Ferry has been closely involved in both major litigation matters and corporate commercial transactions, including but not limited to, international transactions, popular civil lawsuits against unsecured creditors, high-profile restructuring transaction, financing projects involving export credit agencies and numerous international banks, and uncountable acquisition related projects.

Ferry is admitted to the Indonesian Bar Association (PERADI) and fully qualified to represent the client before the court in Indonesia. He is also an active member of Asian Law Association (ALA).

Due to his in-depth legal knowledge, Ferry has been invited to be a law subject lecturer at the University of Tarumanagara until now. He is also taking active role in reputable Buddhist organizations by being elected as Advisory Council of Indonesian Buddhist Assembly (Majelis Buddhayana Indonesia) and Honorary Council of Ekayana Buddhist Centre.

Ferry is fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, English, Hakka, Hokkien, Tiociu, and Mandarin.
