James has been advising numbers of US, European, Australian and Asian companies investing in China by way of setting up RO (Representative Office), JV (Joint Venture), WOFE (Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise) or merger and acquisition with Chinese companies.
With 20 years of legal experience, James is an expertise in advising clients on commercial and corporate matters, James currently is the legal counsel to numbers of foreign invested companies, including Nestle Guangzhou, Swire Guangdong Coca-Cola, Tyco International, Tupperware China, Coface China, Candy China, Taly China, etc.
James has been involved in a number of large-scale assignments involving cross-border liquidation and restructuring, include GITIC and Guangdong Enterprises (Holdings) Limited (GDE) projects and numbers of insolvency tasks in connection to large companies with Hong Kong or Offshore background, such as Moulin Global Eyecare Holding, Tack Fat Group, Peace Mark, Boto Ltd, Asia Aluminum, Sino-Environment, China Packaging and China Metal Recycling Holding, etc.
James has represented numerous clients on investment or trade dispute cases in different level of Courts and different arbitration centers across China.
