He graduated in law from the University of Costa Rica (with honors, 1997) (Universidad de Costa Rica) and graduate degrees in law Air Transport at the University of Utrecht - The Netherlands (1998), Diploma in Customs Administration and International Business from the University of Costa Rica (2001) (Universidad de Costa Rica) and specializes in Tax Law and Business from the University of International Cooperation (2002).
