Mariano Batalla represents multinational companies in corporate and compliance matters, M&A transactions and oversees legal aspects of due diligence, financing and development of large-scale real estate projects.
Drawing on his business expertise and training, Mariano combines design thinking and strategy consulting methodologies to cross-border transactions and corporate affairs.
In 2016, Mariano was recognized by Costa Rica’s leading financial newspaper El Financiero, as one of 40 under 40 business leaders. He is a Fellow of StartingBloc and stars, and a member of the Costa Rican Bar Association.
He received his law degree, summa cum laude from the University of Costa Rica, where his graduation thesis Appraisal Rights: Its Limitations and Proposal for a New Business and Legal Model was approved with distinction and recommended for publication and undertook his graduate studies in business and professional service firms at Harvard University and Tufts Fletcher School.
