Patty Chan is a partner of Vivien Chan & Co, a Greater China law firm with offices in Hong Kong and Beijing. She has recently won the International Advisory Experts Award in M&A in China 2020 and consecutively recognized as the Leading Lawyers in Corporate / M&A in Asialaw Leading Lawyers from 2014 – 2018 and being nominated as the International Who's Who Legal of Management Labour and Employment Lawyers in 2014.
With over 20 years of practices in law, Patty is experienced in Mergers and Acquisitions, China Direct Investment, Employment, Real Estate and related tax issues. She constantly assists multinational companies with acquisitions, negotiations and due diligence, while advises on regulatory matters to ensure compliance with Hong Kong and PRC laws. For real estate, she represents companies for the full spectrum of the transaction including the purchases and sales, leasing out, credit and finance agreements.
Further, she has advised clients on a broad range of commercial matters in Hong Kong and the PRC, including, distribution and licensing agreements, shareholders and service agreements and corporate restructures for regulatory compliance, asset protection and tax efficiency. She has also participated as a panel speaker on employment and M&A law at numerous international conferences.
Patty received her law degree from the University of Hong Kong, and is admitted in England and Wales, and Hong Kong.
