A founding partner of the firm, Mr. Amery’s practice focuses in the Corporate/Securities area. He is responsible for managing the firm’s securities law practice group. For over 30 years he has represented brokerage firms and other business clients in litigations, arbitrations and in matters before the Securities and Exchange Commission, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and state regulatory agencies. He has also served as General Counsel and Senior Officer at a commodity trading and brokerage firm.
Mr. Amery brings his considerable business and financial experience to bear in representing his clients, not only in litigation and regulatory matters, but also in day-to-day counseling on risk management and other issues, including business acquisitions and disposition.
He is a frequent speaker on topics relating to the securities industry, and has also served as an arbitrator for the National Futures Association, and the Chicago Board of Options Exchange.
Mr. Amery currently serves as the firm’s managing partner.
