Mr. Schneider’s practice is devoted to environmental law and litigation. He has over 25 years experience in the environmental area, starting as a Deputy Attorney General in the New Jersey Division of Law, where he represented the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection in civil enforcement cases in both Federal and State courts. Since entering private practice in 1984, Mr. Schneider has represented clients ranging from small entrepreneurs to Fortune 50 manufacturers in a broad array of Federal and State regulatory issues involving water, air, and solid and hazardous waste.
Mr. Schneider has extensive experience in CERCLA/Superfund matters, litigating both government-initiated and complex private party cost recovery actions on a national level, and he has served as common counsel for multiple defendants at several sites. His activities include assisting clients in obtaining insurance coverage for environmental liabilities. Mr. Schneider also counsels clients on the environmental risks of business transactions, including projects taking advantage of recent Brownfields initiatives.
Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Schneider served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Samuel Allcorn, Presiding Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division
