Jean-Pierre Morand studied law at the University of St-Gall. From 1984 to 1986 he worked as a trainee attorney, first with Baker & McKenzie in New York, then with Etienne, Blum, Manfrini & Associés in Geneva until he is admitted to the bar in 1986.
From 1988 to 1995, Jean-Pierre Morand worked for the marketing agency Groupe Marc Biver Développement. Thereafter, partnering with Jean-Paul Legrand, he created the law firm Legrand, Morand & Partners where he practices as an attorney from 1997 to 2008.
He joined Carrard & Associés in 2009.
Jean-Pierre Morand is specialized corporate and sports law. Counsel of several international sports federations, he is regularly consulted in international arbitration cases, namely before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). He is also a board member of several Swiss companies. Jean-Pierre Morand is a member of the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA) and the International Bar Association (IBA).
