Jeff is no stranger to complex commercial litigation. In his two decades of law practice, he has cultivated an interpersonal approach to resolving convoluted business disputes. His ongoing relationships with a wide range of businesses small and large has allowed him to develop a direct approach to untangling complicated commercial relationships.
The bulk of Jeff’s practice encompasses a versatile range of litigation matters, including commercial litigation, Indian law, construction law, and ethics and professional responsibility. Jeff counsels his clients at every stage of their business, from formation to dissolution, always seeking out the most painless avenue to resolve disputes. Jeff also has become an industry leader in Indian law and has represented a number of local tribes, particularly in the crossover with construction law, contract disputes, and sovereignty issues. He acts as an important bridge to tribes, navigating them through state, federal, and tribal courts and acting as an advocate in all aspects of their self-governance.
Prior to joining Osborn Maledon, Jeff was a judicial clerk for the Honorable Barry G. Silverman of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Jeff graduated with honors from Harvard Law School and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. He has been an active community leader since his days as a student, volunteering with the Battered Women’s Advocacy Project at Harvard Law, and serving as a mentor in the Big Brother / Big Sister school-based programs. His commitment to community plays a strong role in his professional life; Jeff regularly contributes his time to pro bono work, particularly in landlord-tenant disputes. In 2011, he was named one of Arizona’s top pro bono attorneys by the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services. Since 2020, he has been recognized by Best Lawyers® in the field of Commercial Litigation.
