Jean-Paul Legrand took his law degree at the Law School of the University of Geneva, Switzerland. He joined the law firm of the Head of the Geneva Bar and was admitted in 1976. He was then hired by Chrysler International, the holding of the Chrysler group companies, and started his international activity as legal counsel and secretary of the company in Geneva and Paris subsequently. He had many assignments in the offices of London and Detroit, as well as in the firm of the outside counsel of Chrysler Corporation, in New York. His work included international legal assistance to the Chrysler Group companies and involved some operational responsibilities.
Since 1984, Jean-Paul Legrand has been pursuing his career as an independent attorney and counsel at law.
His main areas of practice include full legal assistance to corporations which are involved in various fields of international business, with a particular concentration on commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions and litigations, on the one hand, and assistance to international private clients for their assets management and preservation, on the other hand. This primarily includes establishing and managing private structures, trusts and foundations.
