Habayeb, Adib
Adib Habayeb is the Managing Partner of the firm. He is a trial lawyer, with over 40 years of experience in litigation and arbitration, in the fields of civil, commercial and criminal law.
Adib’s experience includes:
- Local and international arbitration.
- Engineering/construction disputes.
- Commercial/corporate matters (including the establishment of foreign and Jordanian companies, mergers, acquisitions, and privatisation).
- Intellectual property.
- Investments (legal aspects, legal drafting, and due diligence) and syndicated loan agreements.
- Banking and insurance.
He also advises a variety of domestic and international based clients, including auditors, banks, contractors, investors, airlines, protection and indemnity shipping clubs, international contractors, and represents several diplomatic missions and non-governmental organisations in Jordan.
He has extensive experience in corporate and commercial matters, where he acted on behalf of an international client as the lead lawyer for one of the largest acquisitions of a local telecommunications company, in addition to acting for other mergers and acquisitions.
Adib acts as counsel and as arbitrator in ad-hoc and institutional arbitrations governed by, inter alia, the Jordanian Law of Arbitration, ICC, IICRA and DIAC.
Adib has extensive experience in intellectual property litigation, primarily with respect to counterfeit and illicit trade. He also acts as legal advisor to commercial companies in tax litigations and in negotiations with the relevant tax authorities.
Adib acted as a member of the ICC Court of International Arbitration in Paris from 2009 until June 2018.
