Before joining Osborn Maledon, Michael completed clerkships at both the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona and the Arizona Court of Appeals. During his U.S. District Court clerkship, Michael also worked on cases for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals while his judge sat on the court by designation. Prior to clerking, Michael represented clients in personal injury matters.
Through his experience, Michael has garnered a detailed knowledge of the both the trial and appellate processes in civil and criminal matters. Michael developed sharp persuasive skills drafting the court’s decisions and presenting his recommendations to the judge or panel of judges. He also gained insight into the principles critical to the trial and appellate decision-making processes at both the federal and state level.
Michael graduated cum laude from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law. While in law school, he was a note editor of the Arizona Law Review, competed in the Samuel M. Fegtly Moot Court Competition, represented clients in the Civil Rights Restoration Clinic, was a Supreme Court Teaching Fellow, and participated in the volunteer Lawyers Program. After law school, Michael continued pursuing his passion for education as a Professor of Practice at James E. Rogers where he taught a course on contemporary legal issues.
