Payslie represents individual, institutional, and tribal clients in complex litigation. A budding trial attorney, her practice focuses on challenging the constitutionality of state laws in state, federal, and administrative court and securing water rights in Arizona’s general stream adjudication process. Before joining Osborn Maledon, she was a judicial clerk for the Honorable Vice Chief Justice Ann Timmer of the Arizona Supreme Court and a judicial extern for the Honorable Troy L. Nunley of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California.
Foundational to the ethos of her growing practice, Payslie participated in the UC Davis Immigration Law Clinic, where she focused on obtaining asylum and refugee status for children and was a legal intern for the ACLU of California Center for Advocacy and Policy. Payslie frequently does pro bono work, particularly on immigration and transgender legal issues. She has petitioned habeas corpus for detained non-citizens in federal court and has developed prociency in navigating Arizona’s birth certificate laws for her transgender clients.
