Luis Octavio is currently co-managing partner at Kuri Breña, Sánchez Ugarte y Aznar, S.C.
His professional experience includes international mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investment, joint ventures, commercial loans to companies, debt restructurings, securities offerings in Mexico and abroad (debt and equity), and other forms of financing.
He specializes in transactions related to the acquisition, sale, lease and development of real estate (commercial, office space, industrial, residential and hospitality), including the financing and securitization of cash flows originated from real estate properties.
He began his professional career at Kuri Breña, Sánchez Ugarte y Aznar, S.C. in 1994 and became a partner of the firm in 2002.
Luis Octavio was a foreign associate (1999-2000) in the Washington, D.C. office of Arnold & Porter LLP. Also, in 2011 he was a founding partner of the Mexico office of Greenberg Traurig, P.A., in which he was an international partner for more than three years.
