Peter A. Caro heads the firm’s real estate practice, and advises real estate developers, investors and users in a broad array of real estate matters, with clients including private developers, investors, charities and closely held and public business entities. His practice includes entity formation and syndication, portfolio and other property acquisitions, due diligence, permitting, complex debt and equity financing and debt assumptions, condominium formation and operations, leasing, sales and other dispositions. His permitting work has included appearances before planning boards, zoning boards of appeals and other municipal bodies in Boston and many other cities and towns in eastern Massachusetts.
Peter also practices in the nonprofit organization and corporate areas. He has particular experience in advising nonprofit organizations on specialized issues arising in the acquisition, development, use and financing of their real estate. Peter also works with nonprofit clients on governance and operating matters. His corporate practice includes serving as outside general counsel to diverse businesses, including service and manufacturing companies.
