Jason represents clients in both civil and criminal litigation matters, in State and Federal Courts, with particular interest in construction related matters, railroad and Jones Act issues, real estate transactions and boundary line disputes, and contract enforcement and negotiation. He also advises municipalities and public service entities, with a focus on island and coastal institutions, including island electric cooperatives and libraries. He is admitted to practice in Maine and Massachusetts.
In 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017, Jason was selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star. No more than 5 percent of lawyers in a state are named to Super Lawyers, and no more than 2.5 percent are named Rising Stars.
He is active in economic and community development, and has served on numerous city and citizen committees including the Ellsworth City Charter Commission, Ellsworth Downtown Business Association, Sustainable Ellsworth Committee, Ellsworth Public Library’s Board of Trustees, Rotary Club of Ellsworth, Maine, and Knowlton Community Park Committee, Co-chair.
