For over two decades, Oswald has advised local and foreign clients in diverse areas of Business law, such as: Telecommunications, Energy, Immigration, Consumer, Foreign Investment, Intelectual Property, Real Estate and Alternate Dispute Resolution.
Prior to becoming a member of Batalla, he was a partner in regional and international lawfirms where he advised American, European and Asian clients in establishing and operating their businesses in multiple jurisdictions.
As well as being an Attorney, he is an Arbitrator and a certified Mediator and has consulted for the United Nations, international non-government agencies and the Costa Rican Bar Association.
Oswald was a member of the Costa Rican Bar Association´s Alternate Dispute Resolution Committee, where he aided in the creation of the Arbitration and Mediation Center where he was a member of the Board of Directors for four terms.
