BACK GROUND: -
The firm was incorporated as a sole proprietorship in 1979 by Sanjeev Chopra and Mr. Vishesh Bajaj was inducted as Partner in June 2012. Subsequently, Manish Kumar Gupta was inducted as a Partner in 2016.
EXPERIENCE OF PARTNERS: -
Sanjeev Chopra, FCA
Starting as a Practising Chartered Accountant in 1979, the firm Sanjeev Chopra And Company was incorporated as a proprietorship by Sanjeev & thereafter was converted into a Partnership Firm. Sanjeev qualified as a Chartered Accountant from the U. K. in 1974 and alongside passed the Final Exam of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants in UK. After working for 5 years in a MNC, he started practice in 1979 at New Delhi. Managing Partner of the firm, he has been practicing for more than 40 years & specializes in financial consultancy for collaborations, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions. Sanjeev is involved with a number of production ventures under the Make in India Programme. He is also a mentor and adviser to start-ups especially in Fintech.
Sanjeev set up the Hyderabad Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. USA in 1976/77.
Vishesh Bajaj, FCA
Vishesh’s experience spans over 10 years in statutory audits along with tax and regulatory advisory handling an array of clients from various sectors including Steel, Telecom, Food & Beverages, Textiles, Retail etc holding a commanding reputation of providing quality services & opinions.
He has worked extensively with domestic and multinational corporations, and handled various kinds of assignments ranging from set-up advisory, direct/ indirect taxation matters, compliance reviews, international tax and transfer pricing assignments. Vishesh has also assisted clients in establishing new business ventures, and assisted them on various initial compliances and entity formation procedures.
He has also completed various Post Qualification Courses from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India including Certificate Course on Valuation, Diploma in International Taxation & Certificate Course on GST.
Manish Kumar Gupta, FCA
Qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2014, his experience covers a span of over 5 years in Statutory Audit of various companies, banks, liaison offices/project offices of foreign companies in India, non-corporate entities and charitable trusts & societies and Company Law matters. He also has wide experience in Income tax matters, Corporate Laws and Ind AS Advisory matters.
THE PARTNERS EXPERIENCE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:-
- Finalization of Financial Results of Large Companies and filing of returns.
- Direct Tax matters at all levels.
- Company Law matters, Excise, Customs, Service Tax and Goods and Service Tax Matters including at the Appellate Level.
- Project Reports & Liaison with Banks for Loan Approvals.
- Proficiency in Oracle (Database Package) and Accounting Software-Indian as well as Foreign (Quick books).
