Partner
Steven has over 40 years of experience advising businesses and their owners regarding tax planning and compliance, income tax controversy and business strategic consultancy. Steven represents professionals, entrepreneurs, and small businesses, with a focus on strategic business and income tax planning. He is experienced with clients in a variety of industries, including physicians and lawyers (along with their closely-held corporations), real estate operators, real estate brokers, insurance agents, professional athletes, entertainment industry executives (including producers, directors, musicians, and actors), teachers, university professors, and members of the clergy. The area of tax controversy is his niche area of specialization. In that realm, he passionately represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service, Franchise Tax Board, Employment Development Department, and the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration, as well as the City of Los Angeles in all administrative phases of examinations, appeals and collections. What truly sets him apart, however, is that he is admitted to the Bar of the United States Tax Court, and can litigate a clients’ case, when litigation is necessary.
