Since joining D&H Group LLP in 1994, Gord has successfully served the owners and managers of both privately-held and publicly-listed Canadian businesses with their ongoing financial reporting, auditing and tax compliance needs. Gord has particular knowledge and experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Canadian securities regulations in the context of financial reporting. Gord has helped a number of businesses complete initial public offerings (IPO) and reverse takeovers, and has helped many private companies prepare for their IPO.

Gord also has extensive experience in D&H Group LLP’s general practice area and has guided many small business owners through complex income tax compliance and reorganization matters, and Canada Revenue Agency audits. Gord has a particular interest in working with incorporated professionals and has served many physicians, architects and lawyers to incorporate and carry on business through a corporate structure.

Gord also volunteers extensively within the Chartered Professional Accountant profession. Gord served on the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (“AASB”) from 2006 to 2013 during the adoption of International Standards on Auditing as Canadian Auditing Standards. Gord is also the Chair of the AASB’s Review Engagement Task Force, which is developing a new Canadian standard for review engagements, and is a member of CPA Canada’s Review Engagement Guidance Task Force. Gord has also volunteered extensively with the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia since 1998.
